ICG Assistant Commandant Recruitment Eligibility Criteria
General Duty (GD):
- Educational Qualification:
- Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university with Physics and Mathematics at the 10+2 level.
- Diploma holders must have Physics and Mathematics in their curriculum.

- Born between 01 July 2000 and 30 June 2004 (both dates inclusive).
Technical Branch:
- Educational Qualification:
- Engineering degree in disciplines such as Naval Architecture, Mechanical, Marine, Automotive, Mechatronics, Electrical, or Electronics.

ICG Recruitment 2026 Selection Process
The selection process for the post of Assistant Commandants is conducted in five stages. Stage-II: Preliminary Selection Board (PSB)

Stage-IV: Medical Examination

- Further appeals can be submitted to the Director General of Armed Forces Medical Services (DGAFMS) for a Review Medical Board (RMB).

Stage-V: Induction
- Final Selection: Candidates ranked in the All-India Merit List based on combined scores from Stage-I and Stage-III.
