Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Eligibility Conditions

Educational Qualification

  • Must have passed Senior Secondary Examination (10+2) or its equivalent with 70% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM).
  • Minimum 50% marks in English in Class X or XII.

JEE (Main) Criteria

  • Candidates must have appeared for JEE (Main) – 2024 for B.E./B.Tech programs.
  • Service Selection Board (SSB) shortlisting will be based on the JEE (Main) All India Common Rank List (CRL) – 2024.

Medical Standards

  • Candidates recommended by the SSB must pass a medical examination specific to the 10+2 B.Tech entry.

Indian Navy 10+2 Selection Procedure

  1. Shortlisting Based on JEE (Main) Rank:
    • Naval Headquarters will set a cutoff based on the JEE (Main) CRL – 2024.
    • Candidates must fill their CRL rank in the application.
  2. SSB Interviews:
    • Shortlisted candidates will be informed via email and SMS.
    • Interviews will be conducted at Bangalore, Bhopal, Kolkata, or Visakhapatnam starting from March 2025.
    • Important Notes:
      • No change of SSB Centre will be permitted.
      • Candidates must download their call-up letters after notification from Naval Headquarters.
      • AC 3-tier rail fare is admissible for first-time SSB interviewees.
  3. Merit List:
    • Prepared based on SSB marks.
    • Final appointment depends on medical fitness, police verification, and availability of vacancies.

Indian Navy 10+2 B.Tech Training

  • Induction as Cadets: Selected candidates will join the INA for a four-year B.Tech program in disciplines such as:
  • Applied Electronics & Communication Engineering
  • Mechanical Engineering
  • Electronics & Communication Engineering
  • Degree Award: B.Tech degree will be conferred by Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU).
  • Costs:
  • Entire training cost, including books and clothing, will be borne by the Indian Navy.
  • Cadets will receive entitled clothing and messing facilities.
