Eligibility Criteria
1. Educational Qualifications
- SSC/Matric Qualification: Minimum 50% aggregate marks.
- ITI Certification: Minimum 65% aggregate marks in relevant trades approved by NCVT/SCVT.
2. Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 14 years.
- For Hazardous Trades: Must be 18 years or above.
- Eligibility Cutoff: Candidates born on or before 02 May 2011 are eligible.
3. Physical Standards

Step 1: Online Registration
- Visit www.apprenticeshipindia.gov.in.
- Register under the National Apprenticeship Promotion Scheme (NAPS).
- Complete your profile, validate Aadhaar details, and upload necessary documents.
Step 2: Apply for the Post
- Search for “Naval Dockyard” using Establishment ID E08152800002.
- Select your desired trade and click “Apply”.
Step 3: Submit the Application
- Print the application form.
- Attach two completed hall tickets (Annexure I) with a passport-sized photo and other required documents.

- It is sole responsibility of applicants to ensure their applications reached DAS (Vizag) within due date of receipt of applications. DAS (Vizag) will not accept applications after last date for any reason.
Selection Process
The selection process involves the following stages:
- Shortlisting: Based on SSC/Matriculation and ITI marks (70:30 ratio).
- Written Examination: OMR-based exam with 75 MCQs on:
- Mathematics (30 questions)
- General Science (30 questions)
- General Knowledge (15 questions)
- Interview: Candidates will be assessed on technical skills and document verification.
- Medical Examination: Shortlisted candidates must meet the physical standards.
