Notes:
- For the written test, a descriptive answer format will be followed.
- The paper will contain 25 questions, each carrying equal weight (4 marks). A penalty of 1/4 marks will be applied for incorrect answers.
UPSSSC Junior Assistant Recruitment Syllabus
- Hindi Comprehension and Writing Ability:
Questions in this section will test the candidate’s knowledge of the Hindi language, their understanding, and writing skills. The difficulty level will be equivalent to that of secondary education (Class 10) as per the Uttar Pradesh Secondary Education Board. - General Intelligence Test:
This section will evaluate the candidate’s ability to understand new situations, analyze various factors, and reach logical conclusions. Questions will include analogies, similarities, distinctions, numerical aptitude, reasoning, relationship identification, and problem-solving. - General Knowledge:
This section will test the candidate’s awareness of day-to-day events, their history, and significance, particularly focusing on India and Uttar Pradesh. Topics will include general science, current events, Indian history and culture, Indian politics and economics, Indian agriculture and commerce, and the geography of India. - Computer and Information Technology:
Questions will assess the candidate’s understanding of computer basics and their application, including operating systems, MS Office, Internet usage, the World Wide Web (WWW), communication, and related topics. - Uttar Pradesh-Specific Information:
This section will cover social, political, and economic details specific to the UP for which the application is made. It will include questions about major initiatives by the Indian government and state government in those areas.
UPSSSC Junior Assistant Recruitment Selection Process
- Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2023 Score: Candidates must qualify PET 2023 to be eligible.
- Typing Test: Candidates must demonstrate a typing speed of 25 WPM in Hindi and 30 WPM in English.
- Document Verification: Shortlisted candidates will undergo document verification.
